Spring - A Time for Renewal

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my new and improved Blog!  It is September, the beginning of Spring (if you live in South Africa).  Spring is a time of renewal, and so I have done just that by revamping my Logo and Blog!

It is not finished just yet. I have simplified my logo and changed the colour of my Blog to green (I have been wanting to change the colour all year!), so finally that is done!

The site is still currently under construction, the navigation bar is going to look a little different, as I freshen things up.  I am also busy updating and changing content.  So...be sure to visit once a week to see the new changes as they happen.  Even better...please select to subscribe (in the right hand bar on the page) so that you can keep updated on my posts and events.

The changes that you can look forward to?

I am looking to add more insight and direction:

  • Firstly... I have Personalized my Blog so that you can see more of me and get to know me a little.  I really want to connect more with the reader.
  • Secondly....I will be sharing insight on simple Steps to Spring Clean your Life - Home, Body, Soul and Mind; living simply and creating more harmony, balance, and space in your life.  This is going to make you feel great!
  • Thirdly....I will be sharing awesome Resources for Body and Mind Awareness with you to give you great insight into health and wellness, provide inspiration, and open your mind a little to help expand your Being - movies, books etc.  You will understand yourself and maybe find your path and purpose in life begin to unfold...if you have not found it already!
  • Lastly....you will find some Affiliate Links promoting books, products and courses that I have found to be very valuable.  As an affiliate I do receive a small commission on these products; please note that there is no additional cost for you, the price remains the same.  I value your support as this will  help me to support my Blog and passion in Natural Health Studies!

The last one and a half years has been challenging for me in many ways, and I have not been blogging as often as I should. The bright side is that these tough experiences that I have had...have really just been stepping stone to prepare me for greater things in life, because it has allowed me time to reflect...so I give thanks and gratitude for this.

I look forward to bringing more value to your life.  Most of all...I look forward to guiding you to Vitality...Bliss and Agelessness...because these are the treasures that natural living will bring to your life...and this is what you deserve!

Be Well and Be Blessed!

Losing a Loved One to Disease

Hi Everyone,

It's been long since my last blog post, 14 January 2015.

I lost my brother, Donovan, 15 January 2015.  In January 2014, he was diagnosed with an immune virus; he had been struggling with his health on and off the year previous to that.

He had chosen allopathic medicine for treatment, and after long term use, it had weakened his immune system considerably.  I had very much wished that he could have chosen alternative medicine, but I had to respect his choices.  I did manage to share some whole foods and organics with him when I could.

Experiencing the loss of a family member to disease, first hand, has been a great teaching for me.  My brother was such a lovely being, with such a gentle heart.  He had many wishes and dreams that he wanted to fulfill, but never did.  He had shared many wishes with me and I supported him in it.

Stress had played a very large factor in his illness.  He had endured many challenges in life, struggled to deal with some, and suffered emotional turmoil, leading to unhealthy lifestyle choices.  I had seen warning signs; he was not open to communication at the time.

Experiencing the suffering he went through for one year was difficult to endure.  I felt so helpless at times.  I realized that the only thing that I could do at that point was to just to let go and focus on loving him as much as I could.  I visited him as often as I could, some times daily; and every time I saw him I told him that I loved him.  I would tell him when I arrived, and when I left, and often many times in between.  Focusing on loving him as much as I could, in the end, helped me a great deal, I knew that I had expressed myself fully to him and had done everything I possibly could to assist when I could.

Illness has many aspects that need to be addressed on the healing path - mental, emotional, physical and spiritual.  We need to assess our lifestyle on all of these levels, and we need to find a balance and care for ourselves in all these aspects of our lives.  Finding ways to manage our daily challenges, and nourishing and caring for our bodies, is so very important.

Most importantly, we need to look with an open mind and ask ourselves: "What am I meant to awaken to, what is this challenge teaching me?", so that we can see the lessons and grow, and not get trapped in a struggle.  Learning to connect within and be guided by our internal navigator is so important; when we get tangled up in fear we tend to lose connection with this innate wisdom.

Don't take life so seriously.  Step back when things are tough, play the observer to see the situation more clearly, instead of becoming emotionally entangled.  Take time out for simple pleasures, time in nature. Treat yourself, be kind to your self.  Nutrition and nourishing your body with whole foods plays a big role in your mood and wellbeing too.  And very importantly...be careful of the company that you keep...spend time with good people who can support and uplift you when you need it.

Be well...Body, Soul, and Mind.

The Birth of Bodhi Chi

I am Jessica, everyone calls me Jess. Bodhi Chi was born out of my own personal transformation, mentally, emotionally, physically and soulfully. This is an ongoing journey that I wish to share with you. My wish for you is that Bodhi Chi can bring inspiration to your life's journey.
In Chinese, Bodhi means "awakening" or "to know", and Chi means "life force energy".

A healthy, strong, and balanced person is known to have good Chi; a weak and ill person has bad Chi. And, when a being dies, the Chi energy leaves the body. Chi moves along the 12 meridians of the body, and 8 vessels in the human body. Meridians transfer this life force energy to all organs and body parts. All organs, systems, and parts of the body are secondary in relation to Chi, which provides them all with the power they need to function.
Bodhi Chi serves to bring you to awareness of your body, not just the physical body, but the energetic body. Your health and wellbeing is first and foremost affected through the energy body.  In order to restore balance, one needs to take a holistic approach by addressing issues on a mental, emotional, physical and soul level.
To live a Soulful life means to live Consciously, in Mindful Awareness of ones thoughts, emotions and actions.  Soul growth requires deep Introspection of the Self, in order to see ones illusions.  This is achieved through the ongoing practice of meditation, which allows us to observe ourselves more closely, so that we slowly but surely work through the conditioning which has disempowered us throughout our lives.

Mentally: Bodhi Chi seeks to guide those who wish to explore their innermost being and potential through the means of meditation. Understand Mind. Learn to reconnect with oneself and experience inner peace and bliss which is every beings birthright! Connect with the internal guide & navigator, to learn to discern reality from illusion. Learn to break down the layers of indoctrination that has disempowered you. Transform your Mind

Emotionally: Bodhi Chi aims to show others how to be kinder to themselves, others, the environment and all living things on Mother Earth. Living with a heart of gratitude, compassion and servitude, brings unity and love to your being and the world around you.

Physically: Bodhi Chi wishes to inspire others to take back their health and wellbeing....take back their power! Eat healthy, take care of your body, it's the only place you have to live. Have radiant health and beauty!  Stop exposing your body to household chemicals and body products!  Choose natural and organic products where you can. "Your bodies ability to heal is greater than you have been led to believe!"

Soulfully: Bodhi Chi wishes to encourage others to do what they love most so that this life's journey can be joyously fulfilled!  Follow your Passion!  Be true to yourself and to others. Understand that it is the illusion of separation which brings suffering, and returning to Oneness brings healing and Pure Love. Nurture your Soul.  To ultimately experience the Magic of this Life align your thoughts, words and actions in loving kindness. Experience synchronicity as you begin to connect and align yourself with the truth and nature of reality in your daily life!
A wonderful life awaits you....and the journey is far more amazing than you think! So...What are you waiting for.....?
