Overfed and Undernourished: The Dangers of Fast-Paced Modern Living and Processed Foods

Our modern day lifestyle has put a great deal of stress on our bodies.   Not only are we breathing in polluted air or being exposed to polluted water, but we are reaching out for food on the run....

In our fast-paced world, we are being conditioned towards choosing fast food options and processed foods over real food from Mother Earth.  Processed food is nutrient deficient, so not matter how much one eats, one simply cannot nourish the body.  Foods of the earth contain micro nutrients essential to healthy living, and these nutrients of course are more available in produce that is Non-GMO, organic and grown using traditional farming methods free of pesticides.

When eating processed foods we expose the body to a number of toxic ingredients - additives, preservatives, chemical flavorants, colourants, MSG'shigh fructose corn syrupsoy, and more....

These toxins are responsible for causing many diseases - diabetes, cancer, Alzeihmers, fibromyalgia and more.  They also affect our hormones and can cause depression.  These toxins also age us, and I'm not just referring to wrinkles, but to aging of the organs!  It is taking years off our life.  The way we age is wrong.

We were designed to feel amazing, but many people don't get to experience this vitality and bliss because they are poisoning themselves daily.  Then what do they do?  They get sick...medicate...and eat more junk!  It's an endless cycle!  People are using chemicals to try to heal disease that was created through a toxic lifestyle , when they simply need to change their lifestyle and eat clean grown food from the earth, and detox to restore their health.  Our livers are under tremendous pressure and cannot remove the toxins as fast as they come in.  Our pancreas is also taking a great deal of strain from yo yo dieting, and this causes pancreatic cancer.

Processed foods are manufactured with addictive substances, like MSG's, to keep you coming back for more.

We need to learn to respect our bodies.  Yes, you can still have treats, but there are better options and ingredients that you can make them with.   Learn healthy recipes for homebaking, at least you know what is going into it.

Food Matters is a Documentary that addresses the topic of nutritionally-depleted foods, chemical additives and our tendency to rely upon pharmaceutical drugs to treat what's wrong with our malnourished bodies.

Be good to your body....and your body will be good to you!
